Overview of the Main Activities in Investor Relations
|
Questions Raised by Investors and the Company’s Responses The company responded to the questions raised by investors during this roadshow: 1. Please provide an overview of the company’s operating performance for the first half of 2025. Good day! In the first half of 2025, the Company remained committed to its platform-based strategy for specialty polymer materials. The LCP and PEEK resin polymerization production lines in Chongqing, along with the thermoset carbon-fiber composite materials line in Huizhou, were officially commissioned and began delivering products on a commercial scale, further expanding the Company’s material solutions and application scenarios. The Company continued to intensify efforts to develop both existing industrial customers and emerging-market clients, resulting in year-on-year growth in shipments of specialty polymers such as LCP, PPA (including high-temperature nylon, transparent nylon, long-chain nylon, and nylon elastomers), PPS, and PEEK. During the first half of the year, the Company recorded revenue of RMB 906 million, up 12.29% year on year, with specialty polymer materials accounting for 48.93% of total revenue—a stable and robust share. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent company and net profit attributable to owners of the parent company after deducting non-recurring items increased by 23.94% and 39.54%, respectively, year on year. Operating cash flow reached RMB 63.99 million, representing an 87.41% year-on-year increase. The Company also continued to ramp up R&D investment, with R&D expenses totaling RMB 55.98 million in the first half of 2025, up 17.29% year on year and accounting for 6.18% of first-half revenue, underscoring the Company’s ongoing enhancement of its innovation capabilities. Thank you! 2. What changes have occurred this year in the company’s new capacity investments? Dear Sir/Madam, During the reporting period, Phase I and Phase II of the Chongqing base’s 20,000-ton-per-year liquid crystal polymer (LCP) resin project, as well as Phase I of the 1,000-ton-per-year PAEK resin project, entered formal production and achieved volume sales. Process optimization on the compounding production lines continued, further enhancing product quality and production capacity. Meanwhile, progress in developing the Vietnamese market has become increasingly evident, with steady growth in shipments of Wotai’s modified materials to Vietnam. Leveraging the dual-base layout of its Waterford and Zhejiang Kesa fluoromaterials facilities, the company has achieved comprehensive coverage of PTFE films and fluoromaterial products across multiple end markets, including semiconductors, PCBs for servers, high-frequency and high-speed data transmission, ultra-high voltage applications, and industrial sectors. Meanwhile, the company’s 100-ton-scale PEEK profile processing line and its in-house-produced PEEK resin are engaged in continuous process optimization, fostering a positive synergy that further enhances the completeness of the company’s PEEK product portfolio and elevates its performance characteristics. In addition, the company has commissioned its thermoset carbon-fiber composite production line and achieved product applications in industries such as UAVs, electronics, and robotics, thereby meeting downstream customers’ demands for lightweight, high-strength sheet, plate, and pipe products and opening up new business opportunities for the company’s operations and growth. 3. What materials can the company provide for low-altitude aircraft? Hello! Our company maintains a technological edge in drone flight-control materials and provides lightweight material solutions for drones across multiple sectors. We have achieved mass production of materials developed specifically to meet the needs of low-altitude aircraft, and our newly commissioned carbon-fiber composite production line can manufacture molded components such as rotor blades, fully satisfying high-load requirements. Thank you! 4. What applications do the company’s materials have in the robotics industry? Hello! In the field of robotic materials, our PEEK material for functional components is currently undergoing testing with multiple customers. To meet the demands for miniaturization and weight reduction in robotic rotary motors, we have developed a high-flow motor stator encapsulation material that effectively reduces the encapsulation thickness to 0.1 mm, cuts the weight of the insulation layer by 30%–50%, and increases the stator winding fill factor by 30%–40%. These products have already been recognized by robotics industry chain customers in China, the United States, and Japan. Our specialized materials for skeletal structures and robotic arms offer well-balanced performance while addressing green and low-carbon requirements, and are now undergoing installation trials. In addition, our structural component materials have been adopted by customers in the floor-cleaning and lawn-mowing robot markets. Thank you! 5. Could you please provide an update on the company’s semiconductor business? Hello! Following the company’s acquisition of Watergate, business integration and strategic synergy have been successfully achieved, and continuous breakthroughs have been made in the semiconductor materials sector, thereby positioning us as a global leader... The company’s semiconductor equipment suppliers maintain stable supply chains and engage in deep collaboration with leading domestic customers, laying a solid foundation for long-term, high-quality development. In terms of products, its precision-customized PTFE components for core semiconductor equipment parts have been recognized by leading manufacturers both domestically and internationally; its PTFE films for advanced chip packaging materials have passed certification and are now in use among top-tier customers; and its PTFE-lined panels for the storage and transportation of high-purity semiconductor chemicals, owing to their outstanding performance, are deployed in systems at leading wafer fabs at home and abroad, delivering long-term reliability even in highly corrosive environments. Thank you! 6. Can the company’s PTFE material be used in PCBs? Hello! Our company’s PTFE film has been recognized by domestic and U.S. high-frequency, high-speed PCB customers, and we are conducting collaborative research with leading high-speed cable manufacturers on the impact of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) film winding on cable signal transmission performance. Thank you! 7. What is the company’s PEEK material production capacity? What are its advantages? Hello! The first phase of the company’s PEEK resin project, with a capacity of 500 tons, has now entered full-scale production and has commenced volume sales. The company’s PEEK materials benefit from a fully integrated, end-to-end value chain that encompasses synthesis, modification, and processing and molding. Thank you! 8. Following the commissioning of the company’s newly added LCP production capacity, what key areas will be prioritized for strategic deployment? Hello! In recent years, the application scope of LCP in our company has continued to expand, and it has been successfully used in electronics and electrical equipment, 5G communications, consumer electronics, automotive components, new-energy batteries, and micro- high-tech fields such as electric motors and AI servers. For example, the company has developed a range of thermal-management materials for AI servers, including standard-grade formulations, ultra-thin, high-flow variants, carbon-fiber-reinforced antistatic versions, and air-cooling solutions capable of operating at ultra-high fan speeds exceeding 50,000 RPM per minute, thereby establishing the industry’s most comprehensive portfolio of air-cooling materials for servers. The company’s active cooling fan materials for mobile phones, supplied to downstream customers, have now entered mass production. Through close collaboration with its clients, these materials not only address the challenge of thermal management during smartphone operation via active cooling fans but also mitigate associated risks—such as increased device size, higher power consumption, and challenges related to water and dust resistance—thereby positioning themselves as a key innovation driver for the industry. Moreover, these solutions are equally applicable to other applications requiring active thermal control, such as robotic joints. Thank you! |
