The congress deliberated and adopted the work report of the Eighth Executive Committee (Council) and elected the Ninth Executive Committee (Council). Zhang Chunhua, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of Shenzhen Langhua Investment Holding Co., Ltd., was elected chairman (president) of the Ninth Executive Committee (Council) of the Shenzhen Federation of Industry and Commerce (General Chamber of Commerce). Wu Xian, chairman of Water Group, was re-elected as vice chairman of the Executive Committee (Council) of the Shenzhen Federation of Industry and Commerce (General Chamber of Commerce).
Qin Weizhong, deputy secretary of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPC and mayor of Shenzhen, attended the congress. Feng Riguang, member of the Party group and full-time vice chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce; Wang Qiang, Gao Shengyuan, and Qiao Hengli, leaders of Shenzhen; Lu Wenpeng, secretary-general of the Shenzhen Municipal Government; representatives from the industrial and commercial circles; heads of various industrial and commercial social organizations; and 600 other people attended the meeting.
